GDDER - Michael Gerber, MPH

Mike GerverMichael Gerber is Chief of the International Emergency and Refugee Health Branch (IERHB) in the Center for Global Health, Division of Global Disease Detection and Emergency Response.  IERHB addresses the myriad public health challenged which face populations affected by humanitarian emergencies. 

A Nutritional Epidemiologist by training, Michael has been with IERHB for almost ten years as a Health Scientist, Deputy Chief and Chief. Michael started his career in Global Health at the age of 19 in Africa and has worked for non-governmental organizations, private corporations and CDC throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
