Steps in the Continuing Education Process

Contact IconContact the CE Office

Contact the CE Office in CDC's Office of Workforce and Career Development (OWCD), Training Service Division (TSD) as soon as you begin planning your educational activity. Download the CE Request Form (DOC - 87 KB) or call the CE Office at 404-498-6424.

It is critical that you make this request as soon as you begin planning your activity. CDC cannot provide contact hours for educational activities that are in the final stages of planning or have already been activated.

CE Process Time Estimates

  • For most educational activities, the CE process takes about three to four months to complete.
  • For conferences, it takes four to six months to complete.
  • For educational activities using CDC's Training and Continuing Education Online system, you will need additional time for coordinating and setting this up. For information about how this system can support your activity go to Support Information.

Once you have submitted your request, your CE consultant will contact you, within two business days, to discuss the CE process.
