Sharing the Decision Slide Set: Slide 2
Slide 2 — These Organizations Recommend a Form of Shared Decision Making for Prostate Cancer ScreeningTalking PointsThese organizations have somewhat different statements about screening with PSA, but all agree that, before screening a patient, the clinician should give that patient information about the risk of prostate cancer and the potential benefits and harms of prostate cancer screening and treatment. These organizations also recommend that the clinician involve the patient in making the decision. Note: Links to these associations and their screening recommendations can be found in the Screening for Prostate Cancer Toolkit on the CDC Web site.
