Cyber Cancer Registry
Cyber Cancer Registry is an interactive virtual registry system for developing and assessing the skills of cancer registry personnel. It provides new registrars an opportunity to gain hands-on practice in core areas of cancer registry operations.
NPCR Education and Training Series (NETS)
NETS is a series of educational tools for state trainers to support central cancer registries in their role of providing education to staff and reporters. This series is an excellent source of training materials for state trainers and educators to train cancer registry employees (both hospital and central), Certified Tumor Registrars, and incidence reporters.
Brain Tumor Registry Reporting Training Materials
NPCR is pleased to offer these training materials covering data collection for benign, borderline, and malignant central nervous system tumors. All cancer registry standard setting organizations have agreed to use these training materials to promote consistency in training.
How to Collect High-Quality Cancer Surveillance Data
The Instructional Abstracting Modules are a series of educational tools for state trainers and self-instruction developed by NAACCR for NPCR. Each module includes anatomy, general information, abstracting review, coding rules for NPCR-required data fields, and determining multiple primaries (before 2007). An abstract form and case scenarios for abstraction along with a pre- and post-test are provided. Individual modules include lung, prostate, breast, melanoma, and central nervous system (both malignant and non-malignant) primary sites.
