RMI's Program Activities

Providing HIV Prevention Education

• Providing professional development to teachers and administrators on both the existing HIV Prevention Education policy and the school HIV curriculum.
   
• Supporting teachers, administrators and other school professionals to better reach parents and families with accurate information on HIV prevention and data regarding related behaviors.
   
• Providing opportunities in peer education utilizing both evidence-based curricula as well as artistic outlets for high school students to educate their fellow youth.

Conducting the Youth Risk Behavior Survey

• Administering the YRBS in middle schools and high schools to obtain data representative of all students in grades 6 −12.
   
• Disseminating YRBS results to Ministry of Education leadership, schools, and community partners.
