The
Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) in California receives funding
from CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health to implement an asthma
management program, provide HIV prevention education, and conduct the Youth
Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). The goal of LAUSD’s HIV/AIDS Prevention Program
is to prevent AIDS by providing information and resources to students,
parents, and employees. The Asthma Program’s goal is to help schools reduce
asthma episodes and asthma-related absences.Providing HIV Prevention Education
