Talking Points

The eighth guideline states that schools can provide all personnel with regular staff development activities that impart the knowledge, skills, and confidence to promote safety and prevent injuries, violence, and suicide. Schools can offer all staff opportunities to learn about unintentional injury and violence prevention topics like first aid and CPR. Topics for teachers include classroom management, cooperative and interactive learning, social skills, and injury prevention.
