Talking Points

Student risk for injury and violence is affected by physical, mental, emotional, and social health. Schools often provide health, counseling, psychological, and social services. To provide optimum student care, these services should be coordinated and integrated with the educational curriculum. Schools can play an important role by linking students to community-based resources and identifying providers to bring resources into the school.
