Heart Disease Hospitalization Rates, Blacks


Heart Disease Hospitalization Rates for 2000 through 2006 for Blacks Aged 65 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest heart disease hospitalization rates for Blacks - meaning the top quintile - are located primarily in Louisiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Pockets of high-rate counties also were found in parts of Alabama, Michigan, and Texas.
