Heart Disease Death Rates, Blacks


Heart Disease Death Rates for 2000 through 2006 for Blacks Aged 35 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest heart disease death rates for Blacks - meaning the top quintile - are located primarily in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.  Pockets of high-rate counties also were found in parts of California, Georgia, Arkansas,  Michigan , Missouri, and Texas.
