This report provides indicators of the current problem of workplace violence in the United States. It provides measures such as the occupations with the highest rates of fatal and nonfatal workplace violence; the victim-offender relationship in incidents of workplace violence; the proportion of injuries that led to days away from work or were treated in emergency departments (EDs); and the involvement of weapons, emotional distress, and police notification of nonfatal workplace violence. This report compares indicators across different population subgroups and over time when possible.
