Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System (OIICS)
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) developed the Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System (OIICS) to characterize occupational injury and illness incidents. NIOSH developed web-based graphical tree interfaces for OIICS that are searchable and include descriptive details. In addition, standalone software versions are available for download and installation on a desktop computer.

Medical Monitoring

NIOSH BViewer Software
The NIOSH BViewer© is used for the evaluation and classification of digital images (DICOM format only) of the chest for the pneumoconioses, using International Labour Office (ILO) reference chest images. It is provided to support health care practitioners in their management of digital posterior-anterior radiographic chest images used in occupational medical monitoring programs. The software is only intended to assist the user in assembling and organizing the information required to make medical decisions, and cannot be substituted for competent and informed professional judgment.

Spirometry Longitudinal Data Analysis (SPIROLA) Software
SPIROLA software is an easy-to-use visual and quantitative tool intended to assist the health care provider in monitoring and interpreting computerized longitudinal spirometry data for individuals as well as for a group.

Permeation Calculator Version 2.4

Data analysis for chemical protective clothing permeation testing involves a number of equations and experimental factors. Permeation Calculator, a Microsoft Windows compatible program is a computer tool for automating the permeation testing data analysis. It is intended to help industrial hygienists avoid labor intensive hand calculations of the permeation parameters.

MultiVapor Version 2.2.5
MultiVapor is a computer tool for estimating breakthrough times and service lives of air-purifying respirator cartridges manufactured to remove toxic organic vapors from breathed air. MultiVapor replaces the program, Breakthrough, which performs the same function for only one organic vapor at all humidities. MultiVapor is intended to help an industrial hygienist or other qualified person to set cartridge change-out schedules.
