09/23/2020: Lab Advisory: LOINC In-Vitro Diagnostic (LIVD) Codes for SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Tests

Testing sites should use the following LOINC codes when reporting SARS-CoV-2 antigen test results.
94558-4 (qualitative) – tests for SARS-CoV-2 antigen
95209-3 (qualitative) – tests for SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 antigens
LOINC codes for newly FDA-authorized tests are added regularly – check back often for updates. To find these codes, visit search.loinc.org and search “SARS Ag”. For additional codes for other SARS-CoV-2 tests, refer to the LOINC In-Vitro Diagnostic (LIVD) Test Code Mapping for SARS-CoV-2 Tests.
