The Division of Partnership Support (DPS) leverages partnerships to help develop the capacity of state, tribal, local, and territorial public health systems to sustain and strengthen public health foundational, infrastructure, and workforce capabilities by providing capacity building assistance to the field to improve performance.

The National Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Public Health Infrastructure and Workforce (Public Health Infrastructure Center) coordinates funding opportunities that provide capacity-building assistance to grantees.

Performance Improvement Tools, Training, and Capacity Building Assistance
Often working with and through national partners, DPS collaborates to provide trainings and support for state, tribal, local, and territorial (STLT) health departments, and professionals through a range of tools and capacity building assistance to help improve performance and deliver essential public health services. Areas include health department accreditation, community assessment and planning, quality improvement, and performance improvement training.

Office of Public Health Law Services
The Public Health Law Program works to improve the health of the public by developing law-related tools and providing capacity building assistance on public health laws and legal epidemiology to public health practitioners and policy makers in state, tribal, local, and territorial jurisdictions.
