On May 19, 20, and 21, 2015, many of the foremost researchers in occupational injury convened in Kingwood, West Virginia at the Camp Dawson Training Center for the sixth National Occupational Injury Research Symposium (NOIRS 2015). The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), in partnership with the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety (LMRIS), the National Safety Council (NSC), and the Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR), hosted NOIRS 2015 to provide a forum for researchers and others to share their findings and methods related to traumatic occupational injury.

NOIRS 2015 was the sixth such symposium focusing on research for the prevention of work-related traumatic injuries. The theme was “Advancing Occupational Injury Research through Integration and Partnership.” The agenda included contributed oral presentations in concurrent sessions and poster presentations which described research studies, methods, and findings related to traumatic occupational injuries.
