Quality Measure Endorsement

Quality measures provide a way to quantify the performance of facilities through a consistent and accountable approach. Measures that are endorsed by a consensus-based entity (CBE) are considered the gold standard for quality measurement. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) tracks healthcare-associated infections and other patient safety-related metrics utilizing endorsed quality measures. CDC NHSN is the steward and/or developer of the following evidenced based measures.

For further details regarding the following CDC NHSN endorsed quality measures please visit the CBE measure database.
