CDC.gov Traffic
2012 Annual Summary
Analysis: CDC Mobile traffic to the website from mobile devices increased steadily in the last two years. In December mobile views were up 122.6% over the prior year increasing from 3.8 million in December 2011 to 8.5 million in December 2012.
The percent of traffic to the website from mobile devices also increased. However, the spike in December 2012 is due mostly to the 14% drop in overall page views to the site rather than the 8.7% increase in mobile views.
In 2013, CDC implemented a change; mobile handset traffic to CDC.gov was auto-redirected to m.cdc.gov if the content was available on m.cdc.gov. Since traffic is being auto-redirected, this may result in a possible increase of m.cdc.gov page views in 2013.
