The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (CLIAC) meets on November 8–9 this fall. This meeting will be in-person, with a virtual Zoom video conferencing option available. Registration is required for this public meeting. Find more information on the Upcoming Meeting page of the CLIAC website.

The biannual CLIAC meetings are an excellent opportunity for laboratory professionals to receive quality and safety updates from CDC, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Presentations and CLIAC discussions will focus on the final report from the CLIA Regulations Assessment Workgroup, efforts to address the CLIA top 10 laboratory deficiencies, standardization of test result communication, and the role of the laboratory in antibiotic stewardship. Find the complete agenda on the CLIAC Meeting page.

CLIAC requests that public comments be submitted by Monday, November 6, for this meeting. You can email comments to CLIAC@cdc.gov. Written comments will be included in the meeting Summary Report posted on the CLIAC website.

Please save the date and plan to attend the virtual CLIAC meeting in November.
