CDC’s Division of Laboratory Systems recently published the Introduction to Laboratory Risk Management (LRM) eLearning course. This is the first in a series of courses focused on developing risk management strategies for laboratory settings. This course is relevant to laboratories involved in COVID-19 testing. At the conclusion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Recognize the importance and benefits of risk management.
  • Define terms associated with risk management.
  • List the major processes in risk management and associated activities.
  • Identify the importance of ensuring dynamic continual improvement.

The course takes about one hour to complete, and learners can earn 1.0 P.A.C.E.® credit.

This training builds on the Division’s portfolio of risk management resources, including content like Biological Risk Assessment: General Considerations for Laboratories and Biological Risk Management for Point-of-Care Testing Sites. This course can be syndicated in organizations’ learning management systems, so it is always available to staff members.

Please share this message with your networks and invite them to opt in to LOCS to receive future updates.
