Map Details – Vermont Resident Drive Times to Mid-Full Service Grocery Stores and High Poverty Towns

Impact Statement

Food insecurity has a major impact on both children and adults and their health status. In a rural state like Vermont, lack of access to healthy food can be a significant contributor to food insecurity. A quarter of Vermont towns have 25% or more households living below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) with three in ten of these towns also having limited access to at least some healthy food.
