Impact Statement

This map helps to identify areas in need of additional healthy vending programmatic efforts to support healthy eating behaviors among patients enrolled in diabetes prevention programs (DPPs) and self-measured blood pressure (SMBP) monitoring programs.

This map was developed as a part of the GIS Capacity Building Project. Learn more about the project.

How the map will be used, or has been used

This map will be used to guide the efforts of the Department of Health’s healthy vending program, Choose Healthy Now, in identifying areas of need. One area of focus is to support healthy food environments around DPPs and SMBP programs in order to reinforce dietary behaviors promoted in those programs.
