Childhood Obesity Task Forces Established by State Legislatures, 2001-2010

The figure is a map of the United States showing the number of childhood obesity-related task forces established by state legislatures from 2001 through 2010. At bottom right is a figure key that consists of color coded boxes indicating the number of task forces a state established during the study period. The boxes are labeled as follows: “0 Task Forces; 1 Task Force; 2 Task Forces; 3 Task Forces.”  The number of task forces legislatively established by states from 2001 through 2010 was as follows: 29 states did not establish a task force; 15 states established one task force; 3 states established two task forces; and 3 states established three task forces.
