Health Disparities and Populations at Risk
Although HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STDs, and TB can affect anyone, some groups of people have a higher risk for these and other diseases. Some risks are based on where people live, work, and play. Other risks may be based on gender, race or ethnicity, education, income, disability, geographic location and sexual orientation, among others.
