The CDC Office of Readiness and Response (ORR) awarded $7,312,924 to create regional readiness workplans that will be used to establish a network of regional Centers for Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response.
“CDC is committed to an increasingly strong, safe, and more resilient nation, and we are partnering with key regional experts to ensure all communities remain ready for present and future public health emergencies,” said Dr. Henry Walke, director of the CDC Office of Readiness and Response in Atlanta.
The eight funding recipients (see table below) will play a key role in establishing a public health preparedness network across America during FY24.
