CDC's Laboratory Outreach Communication System (LOCS)

Audience: Clinical Laboratories

Level: Laboratory Update

Although the risk of a travel-associated Sudan virus case in the United States is low, CDC’s OneLab Network will host a webinar to support laboratory preparedness for a current outbreak of Ebola caused by the Sudan virus (species Sudan ebolavirus) in Uganda.

On November 17, 2022, at 12:00 PM ET, OneLab will host the “I’m a Frontline Facility – How Can I Safely Test Clinical Specimens From a Suspected Ebola Patient?” webinar to discuss testing options for frontline facilities, identify potential hazards in laboratory processes, and share risk mitigation strategies for safe laboratory testing.

The National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center will provide continuing education for this webinar.
