CDC's Laboratory Outreach Communication System (LOCS)

Audience: Clinical Laboratories

Level: Laboratory Update

Although the risk of a travel-associated Ebola case in the United States is low, CDC’s OneLab Network will host a webinar to support laboratory preparedness for a current outbreak of Ebola virus disease (EVD) caused by the Sudan virus (species Sudan ebolavirus) in Uganda.

On November 3, 2022, at 11:30 AM ET, OneLab will host the “When Receiving Samples from Patients Suspected to Be Infected with Ebola, What’s the Plan?” Webinar to help clinical and public health laboratories collaborate with healthcare teams to provide the testing required to diagnose and treat hospital patients under investigation (PUI) for EVD.
