The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (CLIAC) meets on November 3–4 this year. The agenda will include agency updates from CDC, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The agenda will begin with agency updates from CDC, CMS, and FDA, including an overview of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research and a CDC laboratory safety update from DLS. Following these updates, presentations will include “Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in Clinical and Public Health Laboratories” and “Laboratory Data Exchange and Harmonization.”
