CDC understands that the more than 330,000 Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified laboratories in the United States are on the front line of patient care and emergency response. CDC’s Division of Laboratory Systems is uniquely positioned to leverage existing relationships with principal stakeholders in the clinical laboratory community to support outbreak response with training, tools, and resources.
