Outbreak and Response

CDC understands that the more than 270,000 Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified laboratories in the United States are on the front line of patient care and emergency response. CDC’s Division of Laboratory Systems is uniquely positioned to leverage existing relationships with principal stakeholders in the clinical laboratory community to support outbreak response with training, tools, and resources.

COVID-19

In support of CDC’s COVID-19 pandemic response, the Division of Laboratory Systems continues to work in partnership with clinical and public health laboratories. The division collaborates with colleagues across CDC to ensure the latest Information for Laboratories about Coronavirus (COVID-19) is available and accessible.
