Dr. Brown serves as a Professor of Pediatrics and Genetics, Genomics, and Informatics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He also serves as the Professor and Division Chief of Genetics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Brown is certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics, served as a reviewer and standing member of a National Institutes of Health study section, and served twice as an invited committee member for the National Academies of Sciences Engineering and Medicine. He is the principal investigator and co-director of the UTHSC/Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital Biorepository and Integrative Genomics (BIG) Initiative with more than 30,000 participants enrolled from the Greater Memphis community.
