mPINC State Reports: Maternity Practices
Maternity Practices in Infant Nutrition and Care (mPINC)
Aggregate data are shared with state organizations, such as state health departments and state breastfeeding coalitions, to support their work with hospitals and birth centers to improve maternity care. State Reports summarize the strength of breastfeeding support in hospitals and birth centers in each state, as well as the areas that need improvement. These reports identify opportunities for states to better protect, promote, and support breastfeeding mothers and infants, and reports from multiple years allow for tracking trends over time.
