mPINC State Reports: Maternity Care Practices
Maternity Practices in Infant Nutrition and Care (mPINC)
State reports summarize the strength of breastfeeding support in hospitals in each state and territory, as well as the areas that could be improved. These reports identify opportunities for states to better protect, promote, and support breastfeeding mothers and infants.
Data were not reported for District of Columbia, Rhode Island, Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, or the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2020 due to small sample size.
NOTE: The mPINC survey was redesigned in 2018. Results from the mPINC surveys 2018 or later cannot be compared with results from 2007-2015 mPINC surveys.
