Gonorrhea / Disseminated Gonococcal Infection (DGI)

Ceftriaxone 1 g IM or IV every 24 hours  

If chlamydial infection has not been excluded, providers should treat for chlamydia with doxycycline 100 mg orally 2 times/day for 7 days. 

Cefotaxime 1 g IV every 8 hours  

OR 

Ceftizoxime 1 g every 8 hours 

If chlamydial infection has not been excluded, providers should treat for chlamydia with doxycycline 100 mg orally 2 times/day for 7 days. 

Ceftriaxone 1–2 g IV every 24 hours  

If chlamydial infection has not been excluded, providers should treat for chlamydia with doxycycline 100 mg orally 2 times/day for 7 days.
