The report file name, located in the upper right
corner of the report, includes the abbreviation for the contributor's
name, the system (PNSS), and identification of the record layout. Files
in the new 2004 record layout are identified with an 'N.' Production files are identified with "PRD" in the filename; such file
are added to the PNSS master file. Test files are identified with "TST"
in the filename and are not added to the master file. Replacement files are identified with an "R" in the filename.
Next, the month or quarter of the calendar year represented by a majority
of the records on the transaction file is identified. Lastly, a time stamp
indicates the time the file was received by CDC. The Date File Received, also located in the upper
right corner of the report, is the date that the transaction file from
the contributor was received by CDC. |
