Guía para referencias bibliográficas
- Verifique todas las referencias bibliográficas en el sitio PubMed. Los autores son responsables de la precisión e integridad de sus referencias.
- Siga los Requisitos de uniformidad para la remisión de manuscritos a revistas biomédicas (en inglés), publicados por el Comité Internacional de Editores de Revistas Biomédicas (también conocido como el Grupo de Vancouver), para orientarse sobre el formato que deben tener las referencias bibliográficas.
- Para los artículos de revista, los datos mínimos aceptables son: Autor(es). Título del artículo. Nombre de la revista, año; volumen: número incluido de páginas.
- Para los libros, los datos mínimos aceptables son: Autor(es). Título. Lugar de la publicación: editorial; año: número incluido de páginas.
- Numerar las referencias del texto usando paréntesis y colocarlas por orden de aparición en el texto, las figuras o las tablas. Si hay una cita bibliográfica en una tabla, debe ser numerada de manera correlativa según el orden que corresponda a la tabla en el texto.
- No colocar superíndices numéricos para las referencias bibliográficas.
- Si ha usado un software bibliográfico automático (p. ej., EndNote), elimine todos los enlaces automáticos entre los números de las citas y las referencias bibliográficas.
- Consulte en la Lista de revistas indexadas en Medline (en inglés) las abreviaturas aceptadas para cada revista. Si la revista no aparece en la lista, escriba el nombre completo de la revista.
- No escriba los títulos de la revista en cursivas.
- Mencione los primeros seis autores seguidos por “et al.”
- En el caso de los materiales que han sido remitidos para publicación pero que todavía no han sido aceptados, haga constar esto en el texto mediante el siguiente formato: (EL Smith, PhD, unpublished data, December 2003).
- En el caso de comunicaciones personales, escritas u orales, use este formato: (MW Johnson, MD, oral [or written] communication, December 2003).
