Support for Firefighter Personal Protective Equipment

NIOSH’s Fire Fighter Fatality Investigation and Prevention Program (FFFIPP) conducts independent investigations of select firefighter line-of-duty deaths. These investigations provide recommendations to prevent future deaths and injuries. NIOSH NPPTL assists the FFFIPP with these investigations by evaluating SCBAs worn by firefighters during incidents.
