Tenth Year Celebration!
A social event to celebrate 10 years of International Collaborative Effort (ICD) on Injury Statistics was organized during the Paris meeting. Participants arranged the “ICE breaker” to celebrate the accomplishments of ICE and to honor the Chair of ICE, Lois Fingerhut. Lois, not only has been the driving force behind the organization of all the ICE on Injury meetings, but has made significant scientific contributions to many of the ICE projects. John Langley from New Zealand, a long time ICE participant, presented Lois with a world map signed by representative members. The map is a reminder of her friends and colleagues from around the world who appreciate her hard work and dedication. There were also some beautiful flowers and many toasts of thanks and congratulations. The pictures attest to Lois’ surprise and to the fun had by all.
