This report includes data from years that coincide with the COVID-19 pandemic, which introduced uncertainty and difficulty in interpreting case data. Due to a network security incident in December 2021, the Maryland Department of Health could not finalize their 2021 STI case notification data; 2021 data from Maryland have been suppressed in this table.
