Environmental Health Nexus (EH Nexus) webinars, meetings and conferences bring together subject matter experts from CDC and partner organizations to discuss environmental health topics that serve to inform public health professionals and the general public.
EH Nexus webinars, meetings and conferences will be broadcast on Zoom or Facebook, and closed captioning will be available. All EH Nexus events will be posted to the EH Nexus YouTube Playlist, and presentation slides will be available within this website shortly before the presentation date.

Subject matter experts from John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Imperial College School of Public Health (UK), Northern Arizona University Pathogen and Microbiome Institute, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Mycotic Diseases Branch will serve as presenters for this webinar.

- A major theory explaining the emergence of the antimicrobial-resistant threat Candida auris

Arturo Casadevall, Professor and Chair of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, MD PhD, John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Focuses on host defense mechanisms, how fungi cause disease, and in the development of antibody-based therapies for infectious diseases.
Matthew Fisher, PhD
Matthew Fisher, Professor, PhD, Imperial College School of Public Health (UK). Research uses an evolutionary framework to investigate the biological and environmental factors that are driving emerging fungal diseases across human, wildlife and plant species.
Nancy Chow, PhD
