08/04/2022: Lab Update: PHMSA Adds Mpox to “Special Topics” on Transporting Infectious Substances Overview Page

On August 2, 2022, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) at the U.S. Department of Transportation updated the Transporting Infectious Substances Overview page to include a mpox section under “Special Topics.”

This new mpox section also includes links to the Notice of Enforcement Discretion Regarding Mpox Medical Waste and Planning Guidance for Handling Category A Solid Waste.
