Dr. Lorey is Regional Director of Laboratory Services for the Northern California (NCAL) region of Kaiser Permanente (KP). Areas of responsibility include laboratory informatics, regulatory compliance, and quality systems. Dr. Lorey also serves as Medical Director of KP’s NCAL Reference Laboratories and Chair of the NCAL and National Laboratory Technology Committees. Dr. Lorey is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine, and serves on CDC’s Laboratory Medicine Best Practices workgroup. Areas of interest include disease prediction, prevention and population screening. Dr. Lorey is actively involved in KP’s cervical cancer screening program. Dr. Lorey received his bachelor degree at University of California Davis and his medical degree at University of California San Francisco. He is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
