Measuring Policy, Systems, and Environmental Changes at Elementary Schools Involved in SNAP-Ed New Mexico Programing, 2018–2022

The 2 categories of the School Physical Activity and Nutrition Environment Tool (SPAN-ET) are physical activity and nutrition. Each category comprises 3 domains: physical environment, situational environment, and policy environment. In the Physical Activity category, the physical environment domain has 8 areas of interest, the situational environment has 5 areas of interest, and the policy environment has 3 areas of interest. The number of criteria per area of interest in the physical activity category ranges from 3 to 15. In the nutrition category, the physical environment domain has 2 areas of interest, the situational environment domain has 6 areas of interest, and the policy environment domain has 3 areas of interest. The number of criteria per area of interest in the nutrition category ranges from 2 to 15.
