The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), in partnership with the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety (LMRIS) and the National Safety Council (NSC), hosted NOIRS
2011. NOIRS is the only national symposium focused on research for the prevention of work-related traumatic injuries.
The fifth National Occupational Injury Research Symposium (NOIRS) was held October 18-20, 2011 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
NIOSH will not be holding the National Occupational Injury Research Symposium in 2014, but is working with CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control and other co-sponsors to include occupational injury as part of the 12th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion to be held October 19-23, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia. As planning for the 12th World Conference continues, please visit the conference website for the latest information.
