In the Autumn of 1992, the Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) formed a working group to review pubished scientific literature describing laboratory-based research on biomechanical, physiological, and psychophysical aspects, variable and parameters pertaining to back-belt use.
