Program Awards

The EEP program partners with the CDC Foundation to grant stipend awards each year to EEP graduates (medical or veterinary students, residents, physicians, veterinarians) who are ready to take the next steps on their journey to becoming leaders in the fields of public health, global health, and/or One Health and are interested in applying to the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS)  in the near future. Selected applicants receive a stipend to support travel and hotel expenses to attend the next EIS conference, and funds to support additional public health training.

The award application period is open during November of each year. EEP graduates who completed the program in the past five years are eligible to apply to both awards. For 2024, EEP graduates who completed the program during 2019–2023 are eligible.
