Stroke Hospitalization Rates for 2000 through 2006 for Blacks Aged 65 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest stroke hospitalization rates - meaning the top quintile - are located primarily in parts of the Southeast, Texas, West Virginia, and Illinois.
