Welcome to the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS)
To help contain the spread of coronavirus, U.S. Census Bureau field representatives may conduct some NHIS interviews by telephone.
If you received a letter asking you to participate in NHIS, you may call to schedule a telephone interview.
If we don't hear from you, a Census Bureau representative will attempt to contact you, and in some cases, this will be by telephone only.
Your participation in this survey is important, because it serves as a way to improve the health of your community and our nation.
Collecting data from people like you has led to many positive changes in health care. If you choose to participate, your confidential responses will help provide meaningful data about a range of public health topics.
Your responses matter. With NHIS, a healthier America begins with you.
