Laura Conn, MPH, serves in the Partnerships and Evaluation Branch (PEB), CDC Division of Health Informatics and Surveillance, as a senior advisor and team lead for the Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) Team. Prior to that, she was the unit chief for the CDC Public Health Informatics Office’s Health Information Impact Unit.
Ms. Conn strategically leads innovative health information and data solutions that impact public health. She has led eCR activities, including rapidly scaling up eCR for COVID-19 and establishing a model for other reportable health conditions.
Ms. Conn joined CDC in 1994 and was previously the director of health information strategy for CSELS. She was also the acting deputy director in the Public Health Surveillance and Informatics Program Office and governance lead for the National Biosurveillance Advisory Subcommittee.
Ms. Conn holds an MPH in epidemiology from Emory University in Atlanta.
