Motor Vehicle Prioritizing Interventions and Cost Calculator for States (MV PICCS)

The 2011 version [PDF – 351 pages] of NHTSA’s Countermeasures That Work: A Highway Safety Countermeasure Guide for State Highway Safety Offices was the main source for identifying interventions for the MVPICCS tool and developing the original fact sheets (available in this report). The most recent version of the Countermeasures Guide is the 2020 version [PDF – 641 pages]. The MV PICCS intervention fact sheets include information from the 2020 Countermeasures Guide and other sources. These fact sheets give an overview of each intervention and include links to additional resources. There is also an intervention glossary for short descriptions of each intervention.
