Science Ambassador Fellowship

The fellowship application period for the class of 2024 is closed.

Registration for the 2024 regional training workshops will be announced once dates are confirmed and finalized.

The CDC Science Ambassador program offers dynamic educational development opportunities and resources to help STEM teachers and other educators bring public health sciences into diverse middle- and high-school classrooms. The one-year distance-learning fellowship focuses on applying curriculum development strategies and skills based on CDC NERD Academy—an innovative, standards-based public health STEM curriculum that empowers English- and Spanish-speaking students to apply STEM concepts, make informed health decisions, and pursue public health careers. In addition to the fellowship, the program offers two-day regional training workshops throughout the United States and a variety of topical STEM lesson plans.
