BACKGROUND
The 3rd International Symposium to Advance Total Worker Health is a NIOSH co-sponsored public conference focusing on advancing Total Worker Health (TWH) research, practice, policies, and programs. The TWH approach integrates workplace interventions that protect the safety and health of workers, improve the design of work, and advance overall worker well-being.
Bringing together an audience of safety and health professionals, employers, researchers, policymakers, organized labor representatives, and members of the academic community, this one-of-a-kind Symposium examines opportunities to make workplaces safer and to improve the health and well-being of the workforce across the world.
The Symposium aims to support the audience as they pursue advancing TWH research and practice through the following activities:
- Investigate: Explore the latest, most compelling research that advances worker safety, health, and well-being around the globe.
- Connect: Collaborate and share insights with practitioners using new methods and transdisciplinary approaches.
- Apply: Gain practical strategies to rapidly address existing and emerging issues so workers can thrive.
Opening remarks on October 12 will feature:
