NAMCS, administered by the National Center for Health Statistics, which is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is the nation’s leading survey of the provision and use of ambulatory medical services and began sampling health centers in 2006. Physicians, health care researchers, and policymakers use data from this survey to learn more about health care delivery.
